Our Wider Offer
There are numerous extra-curricular clubs held throughout the year. Sporting provision at Upton Cross ensures that our children have the chance to participate and excel in a wide range of sports delivered by our teaching staff, our own PE Advanced Skilled teacher and also professional coaches. In recent years we have developed our extra-curricular clubs which are popular with both children and parents, ranging from a variety available for KS1 and KS2 pupils. These include running, football, netball, athletics, maypole, code club, cricket, KS2 journalism, gardening, sewing, etc.

School Council Election Day
The Out-going school council held our School Council Election Day where the children and staff had a chance to vote for one of the four candidates. They each gave a speech and outlined their manifestos for the coming year and then went around the school at lunchtime trying to persuade children to vote for them. The children voted privately at a polling station and discarded their vote into a ballot box! The results were extremely close, and their effort was outstanding.
Each class have elected two of their own representatives to sit on the school council. It promises to be an exciting year ahead.
